The UAE has introduced a series of new building regulations which will involve the numerous new projects announced in the country. These building regulations have prompted architects and engineers to develop façade designs which are not only sustainable, but also innovative.
The start of 2014 has not only seen a number of projects being announced across the UAE, but also the introduction of new building regulations. With the enforcement of these codes, has come the challenge of meeting the regulations whilst using a building’s façade to ensure maximum design appeal and minimal costs.
Whether directly or indirectly, the building regulations have prompted architects and engineers to develop façade designs which are not only sustainable, but also innovative. As a result, we are witnessing more complex combinations of materials, more integration of technology, and more design ideas which are pushing the “envelope”!
And the Façade Design & Engineering UAE Summit, which will be held 7-9 September 2014 with a Façade Lighting Focus Day on 7 September, will feature leaders from the property design and development sector discussing some of the key trends and innovations taking place in the field, with a focus on the UAE market.
