Glass Company: 10 TRACE, glass laser marking meets autofocus technology

The new UV laser marking system, developed to ensure traceability, precision and safety, will be officially unveiled at Glasstec 2026, with live demonstrations

Glass Company Srl, an Italian company based in Pesaro and specialising in the development of innovative technologies for flat glass processing, is expanding its product portfolio with 10 TRACE, a UV laser marking system designed to meet the growing demand for glass identification and traceability, from production through to after-sales applications.

Designed to adapt to different production configurations, 10 TRACE can be integrated into glass cutting tables, in cooperation with the respective equipment manufacturers, or operated as an independent stand-alone unit.

The 355 nm UV laser source enables permanent, high-definition markings, including QR codes, barcodes, text and logos, without the use of inks or consumables. Particularly noteworthy is its ability to produce extremely small QR codes, down to 5 by 5 millimetres, while maintaining high precision and readability.

Innovative Sensorless Autofocus Technology
The most distinctive technological feature of 10 TRACE is its sensorless automatic focusing system, developed to automatically adjust the laser focus to different glass thicknesses.
This solution eliminates the need for manual adjustments when glass thickness changes, ensuring optimal focusing conditions, a crucial factor particularly in high-definition micro-marking applications.

Special attention has also been paid to operational safety. 10 TRACE incorporates the protective measures required for industrial laser applications, along with a dedicated extraction system for managing fumes and dust generated during the marking process, ensuring practical and safe operation under the specified installation conditions.

The technological and engineering solutions developed for 10 TRACE are the subject of a patent application, reflecting Glass Company’s ongoing commitment to research and innovation.

The official debut of 10 TRACE will take place at Glasstec 2026, Hall 16, Stand C37, where Glass Company will demonstrate the system in operation.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see the quality of the micro-markings first-hand, observe the autofocus system in action and explore the technology’s application possibilities, while discussing different integration requirements with the Glass Company team.

With 10 TRACE, Glass Company offers a solution that combines safety, versatility and precision, contributing to the evolution of identification and traceability processes in the glass industry.
