Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America (AGP-North America), an operating business of Ardagh Group, announced its renewed supply agreement with Stanpac, continuing a long-term partnership focused on delivering high quality, American-made glass packaging to food and dairy brands across the U.S.
Founded in 1949, Stanpac is a major North American packaging supplier for the dairy, food and beverage industries. For more than 40 years, the company has specialised in supplying and printing glass milk bottles and closures, evolving into a global packaging leader that remains at the forefront of the growing demand for refillable and reusable glass packaging.
According to a recent nationwide survey, U.S. consumers say that recyclable materials (45 percent) and reusable/refillable containers (43 percent) are the two packaging features most likely to influence a purchase. Additionally, 57 percent of U.S. consumers buy foods and beverages in glass whenever it is available, and 64 percent wish more products came in glass.
For more than a decade, the partnership has supported innovative, American-made glass packaging recognised by the Glass Packaging Institute’s Clear Choice Awards. Award-winning examples include Volleman’s Family Farm 32 ounce refillable milk bottle and Straus Family Creamery’s half gallon Organic Milk jug, both manufactured by Ardagh Glass Packaging and supplied through Stanpac.
“Ardagh Glass Packaging’s partnership with Stanpac reflects a shared commitment to supporting food and dairy brands with refillable glass packaging that preserves the taste of the product and extends shelf life,” said Thaddeus Luebbers, Vice President, Sales for Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America. “We are proud to continue manufacturing the glass containers that help Stanpac’s customers differentiate their products while advancing refillable packaging programs and sustainability goals, including those associated with Extended Producer Responsibility regulations.”
