The Vienna branch of Vienna Glass Company will close and move operations to its headquarters in Manassas, Virginia, US on 6 September 2011. Vienna Glass has operated in Vienna since 1954 offering a range of services which include custom shower doors, residential services, glass tabletops and custom mirrors, which will all now be offered at Vienna West, in Manassas. We have tried to wait out the recession, said owner, Scott Williams, but it is taking longer than anyone anticipated and we have to cut our overhead. In 2006, the company moved its commercial contract business to Manassas and continued to operate a small retail store on Mill Street in Vienna. Vienna Glass Company was founded by Charles Glaze in 1954 and, when he retired, the family business was turned over to his two sons, Ron and Rick and his son-in-law, Scott Williams. Since that time grandson Nathan Williams has joined the family business and runs the shower door department. We are sad to leave Vienna. said Ron Glaze, but all of our services will remain the same.
