World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz visited the Sisecam plant in the Luleburgaz town of the north-western city of Kirklareli on 28 January 2007. Mr. Wolfowitz, who arrived from Istanbul by helicopter, saw two glass furnaces financed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank group. The World Bank President was briefed on glass production and the conditions of workers at the factory.
