3 June 1999: Walter Ressler, chairman of Austrian refractory products manufacturer Radex-Heraklith (RHI), said at a recent meeting that the group aimed to expand globally via acquisitions and strategic alliances. Following the integration of German company Didier-Werke AG and an internal reorganization, RHI is seeking profit-orientated growth. Ressler described market opportunities in the area of refractory products and insulation materials as favourable. During the last five years, RHI has succeeded in trebling pretax profits from Sch 336 million to Sch 912 million.
