Last week, PPG Industries of the United States announced a number of changes among its top management staff. PPG president Raymond LeBoeuf will add the chief executive title to his duties on 1 July while Jerry Dempsey, the current board chairman and CEO, will remain chairman until his retirement on 1 November, the company said. Frank Archinaco, 53, senior vice president, glass, and E. Kears Pollock, 56, senior vice president, coatings and resins, were named executive vice presidents and given broader responsibilities. Charles E. Bunch, 47, has been elected senior vice president, strategic planning and corporate services, a new post. He had been vice president, fibre glass, since 1995. Kevin F. Sullivan, 45, succeeds Bunch as vice president, fibre glass. He had been general manager, fibre glass reinforcements, since 1990. Garry A. Goudy, 49, who becomes vice president, automotive replacement glass (ARG), had been ARG general manager since 1995. Richard B. Leggett, 48, the new vice president, flat glass, had been general manager, flat glass, since 1995. Barry J. McGee, 52, has been appointed vice president, glass technology and manufacturing services, a new post. He had been director of production, flat glass, since 1990. Maurice V. Peconi, 47, becomes vice president, architectural coatings. He had been general manager, architectural coatings, since 1995. Gary W. Weber, 53, has been elected senior vice president, science and technology. He had been vice president, science and technology, since 1995.
