Pentagon Protection plc has said its US partner Pentagon USA is continuing to make strong progress in penetrating the North American market. The provider of glass film and anchoring systems for blast protection said its glass safety products are currently being tested by a major American manufacturer and that it is confident of high performance ratings from the tests. The company added that Pentagon USA has started negotiations to supply buildings currently under development for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Pentagon said US procurement and ratings authority GSA has specified the use of non-invasive blast mitigation anchoring systems for installation in the new offices. At the end of March 2007, Pentagon Protection reported widening pretax losses of GBP 1.75 million for the year to 30 September 2006, from GBP 1.24 million previously, on turnover down 40% to GBP 2.2 million. It said at the time that it has returned to profitable trading and expects an increase in demand for its products and services in the UK in 2007.
