Latvian company Lat-Plast Ltd. plans on launching a fibreglass production plant in Liepaja, according to recent reports. “Lat-Plast” plans on investing 201,000 lats in the new plant this year, 220, 000 lats in 2001, 220,000 lats in 2002 and 220,000 lats in 2003. Ten people are to be employed at the plant this year, 25 next year, 45 in 2002 and 60 in 2003, while in 2004, there will be 70 workers at the plant. Workers are to receive 160 lats a month at the plant on average this year, 180 lats next year, and the wage could increase to 240 lats by 2004.
