The Polish glassmaker Huta Szkla Gospodarczego Irena SA (Irena) has announced its March 1997 figures. On sales of Zl 5.51 million (March 1996: Zl 5.05 million), the company made a net profit of Zl 0.80 million (March 1996: Zl 0.53 million). For the first three months of this year, this gives Irena a net profit of Zl 2 million on sales worth Zl 14.38 million. The corresponding figures in 1996 were Zl 1.39 million in net profit and Zl 12.35 million in sales. Irena also revised its previously reported net profits for 1996 from Zl 1.8 million to Zl 6.74 million, still slightly down on the 1995 figure of Zl 7.07 million.
