GLASS PACK 2017

First edition ready to go

Glass is the perfect material for packaging. it is non-toxic, 100% and endlessly recyclable, and preferred by 87% of European consumers. It is ecological, protects food and beverages perfectly, and does not leave behind substances that are dangerous for our health.
Glass for containers will be the protagonist at GLASS PACK 2017, the show-conference exclusively dedicated to producers of food  and beverages that use glass as their packaging material. The event will take place Thursday, 8 June, in Pavilion 5 at Pordenone Fiere.
More than 60 companies from 8 countries have confirmed that they will be taking part in this first edition of GLASS PACK 2017, the first global event of the sector dedicated to the protagonists of the glass packaing sector: glassworks, dealers, suppliers, designers, companies and consultants. Producers of food and beverages will have the opportunity to find out about market innovations and trends, new technologies and techniques, as well as materials used for decoration and packaging, along with marketing and logistics trends, and much more. This is an ideal venue for business meetings or to exchange opinions, ideas, and experience.
GLASS PACK 2017 has the support of Assovetro, Co.re.ve-Consorzio Recupero Vetro, FEVE-the European Federation for glass packaging, and the Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro of Venice.
Important glassworks taking part include the multinational compamies O-I Owens Illinois, Verallia and Vetropack, Italian Bormioli Luigi, and Steklrana Hrastnik from Croatia. With regards to dealers and special processes, Cerve, Covim, Les Verres, Valery Glass, and Vetro Emba will all be present. There will also be numerous companies in the sector dedicated to labelling, closures, decorating and coating, bottling, quality control, as well as design and consultancy agencies for marketing and communication.
Glassworks and dealers will also be the protagonists of meetings and debates that will focus on the use of container glass, the industry, trends, new regulations, and technologies of this market.
Some of the most important Italian producers of food and beverages will be taking part in the conferences: from Barilla to the Consorzio del Prosecco, from Valbona to the Nonino group.
GLASS PACK 2017 is therefore the pefect scenario for the thousands of professional businessmen and women who will come to Pordenone from Italy and Europe to meet, do business, and share updates on this important sector that is both fascinating and fundamental for the Italian food and beverage industry, a leader in Europe.
