2 April 1998: US-based Combustion Tec, a supplier of combustion equipment for glass furnaces, has recently licensed the use of its Oxygen-Enriched Air Staging (OEAS) process for NO reduction to Anchor Glass Container Corporation at its Elmira, New York, and Connellsville, Pennsylvnia, plants. “As governments are introducing even more stringent air pollution regulations, OEAS is an innovative approach to help glass companies meet new NO limits,” said Dan Wishnick, Combustion Tec“s vice president of sales and marketing. OEAS is an advanced retrofits NO control technology available for endport and sideport regenerative glass furnaces, encompassing all segments of the glass industry. NO reduction levels of 60-75% have been achieved for endport and sideport furnaces.
