The Bystronic glass Technology Center Bystronic Lenhardt installed its 1,000th assembly press for insulating glass units the first week of November 2010. The press went to the southern Germany-based company Interpane, who received a design of the machine for the production of insulating glass units with a thickness of up to 100mm. For the production of one to four-sided stepped faade edges, this press is designed with an additional glass edge stepping at the lower edge of up to 100mm. With its dynamic interplay of power and precision, Bystronic Lenhardt assembly presses have, over the last 30 years, established themselves in the market. Double and triple units in rectangular, and almost all model formats, can be assembled, pressed and optionally gas-filled. The 1,000th automatic press machine that was installed – type ZPG TG – is equipped with a separate press plate for simultaneous assembly, pressing and filling with gas two insulating glass units in any format size and in any glass or frame construction. With its tandem operation, the assembly press is particularly efficient for insulating glass units with standard dimensions. With press plates connected in parallel, large-scale units can be finished in a single operation. A high-responsive sensor continuously monitors the gas filling process while the filling process is optimized by computer control. Argon is used as a standard filling gas; the press works optionally with other gases such as SF6, krypton, xenon and gas mixtures. The gas filling is done without any bore hole in the spacer frame. Different glass and profile widths can be processed in any order. The machine presses insulating glass units with plan parallel designed, warp resistant plates that are precisely adjustable and work in addition with an electronic press pressure control for insulating glass units with metal spacers. Bystronic glass is the most competent and reliable partner for services, machinery, plants and systems in the glass processing sector. Bystronic glass supplies its well-proven machine technologies also in important areas of the photovoltaic industry. This includes preprocessing and front-end and back-end solutions. Bystronic glass is an international brand with globally operating companies that support their customers on site and through own sales and service companies. Since 1994, Bystronic glass is part of the Conzzeta AG, a renowned Swiss industrial holding company.
