After five years of restructuring, German optics specialist Zeiss has reported operating profits in all divisions for the financial year to 30 September 2000. Turnover increased 22% to DM 3.9 billion while operating profit totalled DM 235 million (up from DM 36 million). The company“s Jena-based subsidiary posted operating profits of DM 10 million, after having incurred losses since 1991/1992 totalling more than DM 700 million.
