Xinyi Glass Holdings Limited is pleased to announce that its second photovoltaic glass production line at its Wuhu production complex in Anhui Province, China, with a daily melting capacity of 500 tonnes, has started trial run. The Group is currently developing three new solar glass production lines in Wuhu and Tianjin, and aims to expand capacity of solar glass to 2,900 daily melting tonnes, reaching a total annual capacity of 730,000 melting tones in first half of 2011. Xinyi Glass said that the Group is expanding its production capacity to further capture growth opportunities presented by the surge in solar energy markets. These new production lines will effectively benefit the Group from economies of scale, and help to expand its clientele and enhance market penetration in the Yangtze River Delta and Eastern China.
