VITRUM and IEG join forces for the future of the glass economy

VITRUM S.r.l., the company that owns the VITRUM brand, announces the launch of an industrial and strategic partnership with Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), one of Europe’s leading operators in the organisation of trade shows and conferences.

The partnership forms part of the renewal and relaunch of VITRUM 2027, scheduled to take place from November 16 to 19, 2027 at Fiera Milano, and has been established with the aim of further strengthening the event’s role as a leading international platform for the Glass Economy.

Through this partnership, VITRUM will combine its industrial expertise and extensive network of relationships within the glass sector with Italian Exhibition Group’s trade show experience, international network and community-building capabilities.

The collaboration will contribute to the evolution of the exhibition format, the growth of its international presence and the creation of new opportunities for companies, buyers, industry professionals, institutions and stakeholders from across the entire value chain to meet and connect.

VITRUM 2027 marks the beginning of a new chapter
The 2027 edition will represent a major milestone in VITRUM’s transformation. Alongside the sectors traditionally associated with flat glass processing technologies, the event will strengthen the involvement of the hollow glass sector and the many industrial applications in which glass plays a strategic role.

The concept of the Glass Economy, understood as a productive, technological and cultural ecosystem capable of connecting different industries, will be at the heart of the new project: from construction to automotive, from design to packaging, from furniture to energy and new sustainable technologies.

The Glass Economy is not a single sector, but a diverse and highly developed productive and creative network. As such, it deserves to be explored in its entirety. In this respect, the synergy between VITRUM and IEG represents a valuable foundation for enhancing and developing this new approach.

“The partnership with Italian Exhibition Group represents a strategic step in the relaunch of VITRUM,” said Barbara Antonini, President of VITRUM S.r.l. “Our aim is to create an event that is increasingly open, international and representative of the entire value chain. Bringing together VITRUM’s industrial expertise in the glass sector and IEG’s trade show experience will enable us to develop new business, innovation and networking opportunities for companies.”

The partnership will also support the international development path already undertaken by VITRUM through presentation and promotional activities in strategic markets, aimed at expanding dialogue with companies, associations, buyers and professionals from the global glass industry.

“IEG is particularly pleased with the agreement reached,” said Corrado Peraboni, CEO of Italian Exhibition Group. “It will allow us to combine GIMAV’s expertise in the Glass Economy with our organisational experience, with the aim of building an even stronger and more attractive trade show. Our objective is to broaden the range of product categories and further strengthen communication and promotional activities, particularly in international markets, also by leveraging the global network developed by IEG over the years.”

The new alliance therefore marks the beginning of a development phase founded on complementary expertise, a commitment to understanding the needs of companies and the creation of a trade show project capable of generating tangible value for the entire value chain.

With VITRUM 2027, Milan will once again become the meeting point for the international glass community: a space dedicated to technologies, relationships, markets and the future prospects of a material that is central to industrial and sustainable development.
