Vitro to build new float furnace at Vitro’s Garcia plant

The approximately 120 million USD investment will enable the company to meet growing market demand in Latin America and provide higher product availability and improved logistics

Vitro announced that its board of directors has approved the construction of a third float furnace at its García facility near Monterrey, Mexico.

“The approval of the board of directors for the construction of this new float plant shows Vitro’s commitment to meet the needs of the markets we serve,” said Adrian Sada Cueva, CEO of Vitro. “Vitro is constantly developing new products with improved efficiency, aesthetics and value. With building construction on the rise in the region, these are the attributes that the industry is looking for in glass. The expansion of our capacities will help to meet this demand and enable us to deliver glass to our customers faster with the latest production technologies.”
