Mexican glassmaker Vitro said its CFO is leaving the company after a 30-year tenure with Vitro, prompting an overhaul of the company“s management. Vitro said in a statement that Jose Antonio Lopez, CFO since 1995, has “personal and professional objectives” to pursue and will leave the company as of April 1. The company did not provide other details. The company named Jose Manuel Contreras, who currently heads a household appliances division of a Vitro venture with Whirlpool Corp., as Lopez“s replacement. Vitro operates more than 100 plants and distribution centres in eight countries. The company reported revenues of Pso 25.879 billion in 1999, down slightly from the year before, and net profits of Pso 644.37 million, a turnaround from 1998“s loss of 828.86 million.
