Mexican glassmaker Vitro SA said 31 December 2002 it placed around MXN 1 billion (USD 96 million) in local debt certificates which mature in six years. Vitro said the placement, made on 30 December 2002, forms part of company plans to improve its debt profile. The local certificates, due 22 December 2008, will pay net annual interest of 3.25percentage points above six-month Treasury bills, or Cetes, Vitro said in a press release.
