Torre Okto, described as a landmark in Monterrey’s skyline, is an emblematic and sustainable structure that uses Vitro’s Douvent System integrating Eficient-e Cristazul windows in its façade.
The Eficient-e Cristazul windows façade is aesthetic, functional and sustainable, the best combination in contemporary architecture.
The construction of Torre Okto was concluded in August, and is a stylish and functional office building located in the Valle Oriente sector of San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, Mexico.
This spacious office complex, covering an area of 5,020 sq.m. and encompassing a total of 29,869 sq.m. of construction, is the first building in Mexico to use a Crystal Eficient-e Cristazul façade as a sustainable and innovative feature in the real estate market.
“Vitro supplied tempered 6mm Eficient-e Cristazul windows combined with clear glass, mounted on Duovent units, which shield the interior from hot summer temperatures and cold temperatures in winter, as well as control the lighting and transparency of the internal and external environments offering maximum comfort and well-being, in addition to blocking ultraviolet rays,” comments Alicia Madero, from the Marketing Department at Vitro Float Glass.
“The delivery and installation of the windows was carried out by our important customers such as Vidrios El Castillo, who provided the double units; Vicrion, who was responsible for the installation of the windows and Prodiesa, who took part in construction operations,” said Jaime Guzmán, Float Glass V.P. (Vitro’s business unit dedicated to the manufacture and commercialization of flat glass).
With the completion of this project, Group Garza Ponce became the first developer in Mexico to use energy saving and sustainable windows Eficient-e Cristazul applied to Vitro’s Duovent system on a façade, which makes it a pioneer in the market.
“The strategic approach that has characterized group Garza Ponce in recent years in the area of Green Buildings, is crystallized in this efficient project which assures the profitability of the property, as well as the quality and continuous improvement in the different stages of its construction, operation and maintenance, advantages that distinguish Torre Okto Office Building, with windows from Vitro,” said the Grupo Garza Ponce representative.
