28 January 1999: German porcelain and glassware group Villeroy & Boch AG recently announced that group sales in 1998 rose about 5% to DM 1.5 billion (US$ 889.1 million), pulling operating profit above the previous year“s level. The company did not give further financial details about the group“s performance. It did say in a statement, however, that it expected sales and profits to climb again in 1999 in all business areas.
