26 March 1998: US-based Viking Industries Inc., a manufacturer of vinyl and aluminum window frames, will reportedly be sold by co-founder and sole owner Richard C. Alexander to Pella Corp. of Iowa, one of the largest producers of wood frame windows and doors in the US. Pella said it plans to maintain the Viking Industries name and operate it as an independent subsidiary. Viking“s projected revenue, according to press reports, is between US$ 50 million and US$ 70 million.
