Vetropack appoints Michela Argirò Chief Supply Chain Officer

The Board of Directors appointed Michela Argirò as new Chief Supply Chain Officer at Group level and is nominating Diane Nicklas for election to the board of directors at the next general assembly

The Vetropack Holding Ltd Board of Directors has appointed Michela Argirò as the new Chief Supply Chain Officer for the whole Group, effective as of 11 October 2021. She will also become a member of the Management Board.

Corporate Supply Chain Management is a new position within Vetropack Group. “This is why we’re so delighted that Michela Argirò shares our enthusiasm for this role. As a highly competent expert, she’s the perfect fit for our Management Board,” explains Johann Reiter, CEO of Vetropack Group.

The 52-year-old Michela Argirò can call upon a wealth of experience in building and leading regional supply chain and service organisations. As Senior Director of the EMEA Strategic Supply Chain for the Sherwin Williams Corporation in Bubikon, Switzerland, Argirò was responsible, among other things, for strategic business planning, logistics and distribution, and stock management. She also implemented expansive transformation projects and optimised both replenishment planning processes and stock level management for finished products. While working for C.R. Bard in Oberrieden, Argirò was tasked in particular with managing customer services in Switzerland, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic, and also developed the company’s e-commerce channel.

An active manager, the multilingual Argirò trained in commerce before obtaining a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland, and studied Business Administration and Leadership at the Dow Academy, owned by the Dow Chemical Company, in Midland, USA.

Election to the board of directors
In addition, the board of directors has decided to nominate Dr. Ing. Diane Nicklas for election to the board of directors at the next general assembly on 20 April 2022.

Diane Nicklas studied metallurgy and materials engineering at RWTH Aachen University and has been working in the supplier sector of the glass industry for over 20 years, most recently as Global Commercial Director at SEFPRO, Saint-Gobain.
