The fifth edition of Veteco, the window, curtain walls and structural glass trade show will take place at the Juan Carlos 1 Exhibition Centre in Madrid, Spain, from 8 to 11 May. Owing to the past success of the show, which is highly specialised in exterior finishings for buildings, exhibition space has been increased by 3,400 sq. m. to a total of 18,200 sq. m.. So far, 248 companies have confirmed their direct participation: 222 of these are Spanish and 26 foreign, coming from Austria, France, Germany, Greece and Italy. With indirect participation expected to exceed 250, the show had already covered 100% of its occupancy by last December. In order to ensure that exhibitors“ participation is as profitable as possible, Veteco has multiplied its contacts with professional groups interested in glass for exteriors: architects, technical architects and quantity surveyors, real estate promoters, decorators, designers and interior architects. Veteco is to be held in conjunction with three other related trade shows attracting more than 800 exhibitors: DECOTEC, Technical Interior Design Exhibition; PIEDRA, Natural Stone Fair; and OFITEC, Office Furniture Trade Show. Promoted by ASEFAVE (Asociacion Espanola de Fabricantes de Fachadas Ligeras y Ventanas – the Spanish Association of Curtain Walls and Windows Manufacturers), and organised by the Madrid Trade Fair Organisation, in collaboration with the Upper Board of the Schools of Architecture of Spain, the Upper Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, and MOPTMA (the General Board for Housing, Urban Development and Architecture), Veteco will be organised in the following areas: Windows – PVC, wood, aluminium and others; Ceilings; Walls; Light Facades; Curtain Walls and Structural Glass; Glass Machinery; Aluminium; Wood, PVC and Glass; Iron Fittings and Accessories; Automatisms; Finishings; Blinds and Awnings; Doors – Commercial, industrial and garage. There will also be a technical symposium dedicated to the “Law of Building Development”, the official presentation of the PVC Carpentries text, and the presentation of the VETECO/ASEFAVE awards for the Best Window and Light Facade, and for the Most Innovative Product.
