12 March 1998: Recent reports say that two interested parties are competing for a majority stake in the Czech Republic“s Vertex Litomysl, a sale which is being organised by Komercni banka. “Komercni banka has received two offers whose legal structure and securing of financing must be defined more precisely,” the bank“s press office said. As GlassOnline reported earlier (see news of 5 March 1998), 75% of Vertex shares are to be sold to a strategic investor in a tender. Vertex is the largest Czech producer of glass fibre and fabric.
