Verallia Italy reaffirms its commitment to occupational health and safety through Safety Week 2026, a nationwide initiative involving production plants and corporate offices from June 3 to 10, 2026 in a program of training, experiential and participatory activities. The initiative is part of the Group’s strategic journey toward its Zero Accidents Goal, a clear target set for 2030.
Between 2019 and 2025, the Group’s Lost-Time Injury Frequency Rate (TF2) decreased from 5.5 to 2.5, representing a 54 percent reduction, on track to achieve the 2030 objective of a TF2 equal to or below 1.5.
More than 1,300 employees from all sites took part. The Italian edition centred on safety risk assessment. Among the tools introduced was the “60 Seconds to Think Before Acting” model. The week also featured a Safety Treasure Hunt gamification activity and an interactive quiz.
100 percent of the Group’s glass production sites are certified to ISO 45001. Accidents involving contractors decreased by 50 percent compared with 2024. To date, 24 sites have achieved the Group’s safety excellence criteria, four of which are in Italy.

For the fifth consecutive year, the Group has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, placing it among the top 1 percent of companies worldwide among more than 150,000 companies assessed globally.
Camilla Campomagnani, Health & Safety Director at Verallia Italy, concluded, “Safety is our foremost value, and one on which we accept no compromise. The results achieved in recent years show that we are on the right path, but our objective remains unchanged: zero accidents. We will continue investing in people, training and prevention until we achieve it.”
