The China International Industrial Glass Exhibition, more commonly known as China Glass, is the largest glass trade fair in Asia and one of the two most important in the sector worldwide. This annual exhibition is organized by the China Ceramic Society every spring.
Nearly 1,000 exhibitors from 30 Asian, European and American countries and states took part in the 30th China Glass from 22 to 25 May. On this occasion, the show was again held in the pavilions of the New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC) located in Beijing.
Like other major national and international manufacturers of machinery, Turomas did not want to miss the opportunity to show their achievements and progress in this space of reference. The Vice President of Turomas, Álvaro Tomás, and part of the commercial team represented by Ruth Ruiz, Guillermo Ortega and Eduardo Nieto travelled to the capital of the Asian country.
The presence of Turomas in the 30th edition of China Glass exceeded expectations, only on the first day of the event registered 20% more visits than the total counted in the 2015 edition. Visits that resulted in the closing of important agreements and the expansion of interest in machinery from Teruel to India, a market where it is expected to close a high volume of sales in the future.
Turomas stand attracted the attention of potential customers, but was also a meeting point with some of its current customers from Spain, Portugal and other European and South American countries who did stop to greet and exchange impressions.
Without a doubt, given the excellent results in terms of visibility and the great business opportunities offered, China Glass becomes a mandatory annual appointment for Turomas.
Parallel to the exhibition and the commercial meetings, technical seminars were held in which topics related to novelties, trends and evolution of the sector were addressed. Issues related to intelligent manufacturing, solutions, applications, decoration or energy saving and respect for the environment, among others.
“In accordance with our strategy of gaining a foothold in Asian markets and strengthening our commercial relations with our new commercial network in countries such as the MENA region, India, Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Korea and Australia, it is essential that we have a presence at this fair. It is the benchmark fair from the Middle East to Oceania and, on a global level, it is the second most important after Glasstec”, said Álvaro Tomás.
