Turkish glassmaker Trakya Cam Sanayii, a unit of Sisecam, recently opened a new production line at its Mersin plant, doubling its capacity to 330,000 tonnes annually. With an earlier production line at the factory, the new US$ 90 million investment, would enable Trakya Cam to meet 50% of domestic flat glass needs, a company statement said. The company also aimed to capture 7% of the European market this year, it said.
