Sparklike Laser Portable™ – version 2.0

Battery operated, portable non-destructive insulating gas measurement

Sparklike Oy introduces the renewed and improved Sparklike Laser Portable™ 2.0 device that allows mobile and non-destructive measurement of insulating gas concentration for triple and double glazed insulating glass units.
The new and improved version of the device is mobile, more compact, provides easier measurement, and features a new Ergogrip™ with three handles.

Usability improvements and new features:

  • Portable, more compact, and easier measurement
  • Compact measuring head with New ErgoGrip™ – three handles and start-buttons, easy to handle in different measuring positions
  • Smaller main unit case with 150 mm pneumatic wheels – easy manoeuvring
  • Vacuum gripping to the IG unit – light signal when reading and vacuum grip is released
  • Barcode reader and Wi-Fi are available as options
  • Technical support with remote connection

Jukka Manner, CEO of Sparklike Oy, said, “All Sparklike devices are designed in close collaboration with our customers. We listened to our customers and wanted to further develop our popular portable laser device to improve usability and make measurement even more easy and comfortable. We are very proud to have the first and only non-destructive insulating gas measuring technology for IG units.”

The Sparklike Laser technology was originally launched to market in 2014 and the first edition of the Sparklike Lasers™ device, a non-destructive laser measurement device was launched in the autumn of the same year. Since launching, a total of almost 200 laser devices have been delivered to over 50 countries. The new and improved Sparklike Laser Portable™ 2.0 provides a fully integrated system that has a robust case with wheels and a battery for improved mobility. Due to this, the device enables measurement of the gas concentration on the Insulated Gas Units (IGU) both on the production line as well as on-site. The device measures the oxygen level and calculates results which are displayed as argon, krypton, or additional insulating gas levels.
Jukka Manner continued, “Non-destructive measurement and the mobile features are the main benefits of the Sparklike Laser Portable™ 2.0 device. When integration directly into the IG line and automatic measuring is needed, we are proud to offer the Sparklike Laser Integrated™ measurement station (formerly Online), which is based on the same patented and proprietary Sparklike laser technology.”
The ever-growing popularity of the Sparklike devices™ is due to the fact that this agile and innovation-driven Nordic company – that holds various patents for their never-before-seen technology – is continuously able to develop their expanding offer of products to correspond to industry requirements. In other words, Sparklike devices™ enable IG manufacturers, window and door manufacturers, testing laboratories, building quality inspectors as well as construction consultants worldwide, to measure gas concentration of IG units in a fast, economic and non-destructive way.

Sparklike Laser Portable™ 2.0 deliveries will start in November 2020.
