Passive Windoor manufactures high-performance system windows and doors built to strict thermal performance and airtightness requirements, and verifying gas filling rate is part of its routine quality management.
During production, gas filling is normally controlled through parameters such as filling time, flow rate, cavity size and unit configuration. These support repeatable production, but do not confirm actual gas concentration inside a sealed unit. Concentration could still vary between units with identical settings, and finished units could not be checked against internal targets without direct measurement.
In 2022, Passive Windoor introduced the Sparklike Laser Portable to measure argon concentration as part of quality control. The device measures gas concentration non-invasively and can be used on finished, sealed glass during production, final inspection or on site.
This non-destructive approach is the same principle formally recognised in China’s new insulating glass standard, GB/T 11944-2025, which added tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) as an approved testing method in Appendix H when the standard took effect on July 1, 2026.
Results are now used to confirm compliance with internal targets, detect deviations linked to filling or sealing, adjust filling parameters accordingly and give production and quality teams a shared, data-based reference point.
Combining controlled filling parameters with direct measurement has given Passive Windoor clearer visibility into gas content across production batches, supporting more consistent thermal performance, faster identification of deviations and quality documentation based on measured data rather than assumptions.
