Just before glasstec in October, SORG and EME hosted invited guests from all over the world to view the BATCH3 innovations in operation at Wiegand Glass in Steinbach am Wald.
Ahead of the 2012 edition of glasstec, in Dusseldorf, SORG and EME arranged an event where invited guests were able to view the BATCH3 innovations in operation. The BATCH3 system consists of three components – the IRD® doghouse, the batch preheater and the EME-NEND® batch charger. The benefits of these developments include lower energy consumption, lower CO2 emissions and high glass pull.
All three innovations have been in use for over one year at Wiegand Glass in Steinbach am Wald, where the tour took place. The visitors came from numerous countries including China, Korea, US, Canada, Mexico, Morocco and Thailand. The tour began with a presentation introducing the BATCH3 system. Afterwards the visitors split into four groups who visited the different stations, accompanied by SORG employees who explained the technologies and answered detailed questions.
