French hotel and luxury goods company Societe du Louvre posted turnover of EUR 164.2 million (USD 196.4 million) for the 1Q of 2004, up 13.2% year-on-year, it was reported on 5 May 2004. Societe du Louvre operates in the luxury and economy hotel sectors under the Concorde Hotels Group and Envergure Group brands, respectively. The company is also involved in crystal manufacturing throught Baccarat and luxury goods via the high-class perfume brand Annick Goutal. The company“s economy hotels business generated turnover of EUR 83.2 million (USD 99.5 million), a 16% increase, while the prestige hotels business achieved EUR 50.3 million (USD 60.2 million), up 11.3%, and the luxury hotels business posted turnover of EUR 28.4 million (USD 34 million), up 9.9%. Societe du Louvre generates 82.1% of its turnover in France, 8.1% in other European countries, 5.3% in Asia and the remaining 4.5% in the USA. The company is listed on the Premier Marche of Euronext Paris. Unless otherwise stated, all figures are for the 1Q of 2004, compared to the same period of 2003.
