The Czech glass makers, Sklo Bohemia and Crystalex, have created a new division called BCT vyroba, a joint division of Bohemia Crystalex Trading (BCT). BCT was set up in mid-1996 as Crystalex“s export organisation. Sklarny Bohemia, another glass maker, will join the grouping on 1 July. The move is aimed at “centralising the management of these firms and should contribute to better use of production, technical and personnel potential of the companies in one entity”, the division“s new personnel director Evzen Barnoki said. Aggregate 2000 sales of the division“s first two members are estimated at around Kc 3.2 billion and their exports in the year topped 80% of output. The two glass makers employ over 5,600 people.
