Şişecam participated in Solarex Istanbul

Şişecam participated in the International Solar Energy and Technologies Fair, Solarex Istanbul, held between April 8 to 10, 2026.

At the fair, Şişecam showcased its innovative SolarMax and Charger by ML System solutions highlighting its growing contribution to the global sustainable energy transition.

The SolarMax product at the Şişecam booth stood out with its high performance and efficiency features designed for photovoltaic modules. Thanks to its low-iron composition, SolarMax offers high light transmittance, while its Anti-Reflective (AR) coating minimises reflection and maximises the amount of light transmitted into the panel. This contributes to higher energy generation and long-lasting performance in solar panels. Designed for commercial applications, SolarMax is temperable, enhancing mechanical strength and durability against harsh environmental conditions.

By increasing its solar glass production capacity by 3.5 times and investing in next-generation solar energy technologies, Şişecam demonstrates its advanced production capabilities and its innovative driven approach in the sector. SolarMax enhances panel efficiency with its high light transmittance and low reflection properties, while strengthening Şişecam’s leading position in the solar energy field through the innovative solutions it offers in glass panel technologies.

Şişecam Chief Marketing Officer Yilmaz Erceyes, said, “With our increasing investments in solar glass and expanding production capacity, we are reinforcing our position as a strong global player. Through our production infrastructure, engineering strength and R&D capabilities, we develop high-performance solar glass solutions that create significant value for the sector. Thanks to our production network and strong supply chain, we continue to contribute to the global transformation of the solar energy sector.”

Şişecam Charger by ML System, also attracted great interest with its Building-Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) glass technology. Developed in collaboration with ML System, this innovative solution combines architectural design with energy generation in façade and roof applications, transforming glass surfaces into active energy-producing structures. Offering both aesthetics and functionality, the product contributes to sustainable building solutions and stands out in the industry.
