After the recent formation of the Sika FFI Facades, Fenestration and Insulating Glass Business Unit, Sika Corporation has now established a Silicone Competency Center, headquartered in Lakewood, New Jersey. The Silicone Competency Center will serve the comprehensive needs of customers in the North American Facades Fenestration, and Insulating Glass marketplace, as well as the broad base of customers in the Construction Products market segment. The centre also will serve internally for formulation, application, testing and manufacturing excellence. The Silicone Competency Center is headed by Steve Rosenberg, senior vice president, Research and Development. Jeff Knepper, manager Silicone Research and Development, an industry veteran with over 30 years experience in silicone formulation and technology, will report to Rosenberg. An expanded technical staff within the competency centre report to Knepper. We are excited to establish a comprehensive resource for supporting silicone competencies in North America, said Rosenberg. We have in place an excellent and knowledgeable staff to help us grow applications and move forward in our silicone technologies.
