SGD Pharma: innovation & decorative excellence at LuxePack New York

SGD Pharma is proud to announce its participation in LuxePack New York 2026, held on  May 6 and 7 at Javits Center, Booth C10.

This prestigious event, dedicated to luxury packaging in the beauty industry, will mark a new milestone for SGD Pharma’s Beauty & Care division. Visitors will discover SGD Pharma Beauty & Care’s latest innovative and eco-conscious solutions:

  • 20 and 30 percent PCR Glass Bottles: a solution produced at SGD Pharma’s facility in China, using post-consumer recycled glass to reduce virgin raw material use and energy consumption. In 2025, SGD Pharma became the first glass manufacturer in China to obtain ISO 14021 certification for its PCR glass packaging, marking a significant step forward in the production of verified PCR glass for the cosmetics and beauty sector.
  • NOVA Lightweight Glass Range: Combining technical precision with sustainability, the NOVA bottle achieves up to 20 percent CO2 emissions reduction compared to standard models, demonstrating how optimised glass distribution and weight reduction can preserve both structural integrity and visual appeal.
  • ECLIPSE Refillable Glass Jar: An elegant, refillable system that encourages reuse and reduces single-use waste. Its modular design allows consumers to effortlessly replace capsules, extending the life of the outer glass container and reinforcing circular economy principles.

In addition to sustainability, SGD Pharma will also spotlight its advanced decoration capabilities, including cutting-edge Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), lacquering and screen-printing techniques that enable brand differentiation while remaining compatible with recycling processes.

Decarbonisation: Leading with purpose
SGD Pharma reinforces its commitment to sustainability through the 3R principles – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, guiding product development and manufacturing to minimise environmental impact while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

This year, the company has again been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum medal with a score of 90, ranking SGD Pharma among the top 1 percent global cosmetic and pharmaceutical glass manufacturers for sustainability performance.

Aligned with its Science Based Targets (SBTi)-validated roadmap, SGD Pharma targets a 42 percent reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and 65 percent by 2040, compared to 2022 levels.
