Schott receives ISO certification for Russian plant

Schott Pharmaceutical Systems has successfully passed the certification of international standard ISO 15378:2006, meaning that the plant meets the highest standards of primary pharmaceutical packaging and applicable standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

The Russian factory of “Schott Pharmaceutical Systems” – a specialized manufacturer of glass and primary pharmaceutical packaging has, the company said, successfully passed the certification of international standard ISO 15378:2006. This certificate means that the plant meets the highest standards of primary pharmaceutical packaging and applicable standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
To date, ISO 15378:2006 certification establishes the highest quality standards for pharmaceutical packaging. To pass the certification organization must demonstrate the application of quality control at all stages of production. The standard takes into account not only the quality of raw materials and equipment, and compliance with GMP.
The manufacturing area of the factory is about 5,300 sq.m., and is dedicated to the production of bottles with capacity from 1 ml to 100 ml with different neck designs, as well as vials of various types.
