San Miguel Corp, the Philippines biggest food and beverage firm, said on 3 April it had appointed Francis Jardeleza, currently senior vice president and general counsel, as its new corporate secretary. The post was vacated by Justice Jose Feria who recently retired. Jardeleza has served as San Miguel“s general counsel since 1996 and before that, as assistant corporate secretary for 10 years. He earned a Master of Law degree from Harvard Law School in 1977 after graduating salutatorian and cum laude from the University of the Philippines College of Law. He placed third in the 1972 bar examinations.
