Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd. the Australian soft drinks bottler, said that discussions are continuing over the possible sale of its Philippines business to its two largest shareholders, Coca-Cola Co. and San Miguel Corp. But Coca-Cola Amatil declined to elaborate on how close the parties are to any agreement following fresh media speculation that a deal has been struck. A source said that San Miguel, the Philippine food and beverage group, and Coca-Cola Co. are set to acquire stakes of 65% and 35%, respectively, in Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc.
