7 October 1998: France“s glass giant Saint-Gobain has followed up its recent acquisition of full control of the glass fibres joint venture with Hankuk Glass of South Korea (see GlassOnline report of 24/9/98) with the acquisition of 25% participation in Hanglas specializing in the production of glazing and insulation products. Hanglas is the largest glass manufacturer in South Korea with turnover of FFr 1.8 billion.
