French building-materials group Saint-Gobain SA and French steelmaker Usinor said they plan to build a Euro 7.4 million steel sheet manufacturing plant in the region of Charleroi in Belgium. The new company, 72%-owned by Usinor, 28%-owned by Saint-Gobain, will make steel sheets designed for use in non-residential construction. The investment will be partially subsidized by the Wallone regional government.
