Sahm C.S., the Czech Republic glass packaging subsidiary of Sahm of Germany, reported interim consolidated sales of Kc 364.2 million for the year 2000, 19% higher than the previous year, and netted nearly Kc 20 million, up 42% over 1999. Exports in the year 2000 rose 8% to Kc 115 million, the majority of which went to Slovakia and Russia. The firm has strengthened its position on the Russian market by setting up the firm Bohemia Line Produktions for the decoration of beverage glass in St. Petersburg. The firm“s major customers on the domestic market are the brewers Plzensky Prazdroj, Coca Cola, and liquor producers STOCK Plzen and Jan Becher – Karlovarska Becherovka.
