SAGE Electrochromics’ new Vice President, General Manager in China will be Catherine Zhou. SAGE Electrochromics, the leading manufacturer of electronically tintable dynamic glass, has hired Catherine Zhou to manage its operations in China. Her title will be Vice President, General Manager.
An accomplished executive with multinational and emerging business experience, Zhou comes to SAGE from Solatube CECEP Daylight Technology Co., Ltd., where she was general manager, sales and marketing based in Suzhou, China. In her new position, Zhou will play a key role in SAGE’s goal to dramatically ramp up awareness for the company and sales of SageGlass® in a highly strategic market.
“SAGE is expanding its efforts in the Chinese market at exactly the right time,” observed Zhou. “As China continues to build out its urban centres, architects and building owners are looking for a balance of sustainability and energy efficiency while still advancing bold designs with an abundant use of glass,” she said, adding, “I am excited by the possibilities of SageGlass in this market.”
In her new position, Zhou will establish SAGE’s marketing and sales presence in China; build a national sales team and channel distribution network; and set up marketing, installation, technical support, and customer service functions.
“We are thrilled to have Catherine join our team,” said Hong Mo Yang, SAGE’s Chief Commercial Officer. “China is a very strategic market for our company and we strongly believe Catherine has the right combination of business savvy in-country experience, and professional network that will help us achieve a smart, fast ramp-up as well as long term success.”
