Safelite AutoGlass is expanding its Chicago SuperCenter, located in Wood Dale, Illinois.
The facility will expand from 28,000 to 41,000 square feet, with 35,000 square feet to be used for warehousing auto glass inventory, making it Safelite’s fifth largest in the country.
The customer waiting area also will be expanded to accommodate more than 20 customers. New picture windows will allow full view of the windshield installation area, which has gone from two service bays to more than 2,400 square feet, according to the company.
“By expanding our Chicago SuperCenter, we will be able to provide more same-day service to our customers. However, customers will also continue to have the option to schedule a mobile appointment,” says Tim Zimmer, market manager for Safelite’s Chicago region.
The location will be managed by Chris Lindsay, who has 14 years’ experience with Safelite, and will have a staff of 40 service representatives, dispatchers, technicians and warehouse associates.
