During early discussions with Express Glass Warehouse, the challenge was clear to representatives from IMMMES: how to support growing production while reducing water consumption, wastewater discharge, and operational complexity. Glass processing requires large volumes of clean water, but managing it efficiently is a real challenge.
At their facility, key issues included high demand for clean water for production lines, discharge of contaminated process water, increasing costs linked to water supply and maintenance and complex sludge handling and system management
The IMMMES solution
IMMMES designed and delivered a fully automatic water depuration system, tailored to their needs. The DTP50 Water Treatment System offered up to 50,000 litres per hour of purified and reusable water. A closed-loop process, it produces no waste, nor interruptions and is a self-regulating system with minimal operator intervention.
The DGS350 Filter Press features automatic sludge dewatering, clean and efficient collection into Big-Bags and greatly simplified waste management.
Today, Express Glass Warehouse benefits from:
- Continuous supply of clean water for production
- Elimination of contaminated water discharge
- No need for new water supply (except minimal replenishment)
- Reduced operating and maintenance costs
- Improved working environment: cleaner, safer, more efficient
- Greater process reliability and production continuity
This project is a perfect example of how technology can turn a critical resource like water into a strategic asset, driving both efficiency and sustainability.
IMMMES is proud to support Express Glass Warehouse on their journey toward smarter and more sustainable glass production. They offer special thanks to Richard Gerrard, Director at Advanced Processing Machinery Limited for the support and collaboration that made this project possible.
