S.I.G.MA. S.r.l. was founded in 1990 by a team of people with more than thirty years of experience in manufacturing refractories, with the aim of becoming a specialist in the glass market.
The company asserted itself in Italy thanks to its “chemical binder technology” and has has since oriented its efforts towards foreign countries. With the construction of a new factory in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, in 2014, S.I.G.MA. Group is now the largest European manufacturer of special shapes for glass furnaces.
S.I.G.MA. states that its position has been consolidated in the market thanks to the quality, the customer service and to continuous and massive investments both in laboratory and in the factory including high firing temperature Bickley kiln (1750°C) for special refractories.
The company has since developed new interesting products for critical points of highly stressed glass furnaces like melting tank bottom and the top area of the regenerator chambers (target and division wall).
