The RKM association, established by the Roslav, Kamyshin and Kavminsteklo glass plants in September 2000, said it plans to invest US$ 35 million to increase glass container production in Russia. Anatoly Khobotov, RKM president and director of Kamyshin glass, said that the funds would go to purchase and mount new equipment, which will enable enterprises to attain an annual capacity of two billion glass bottles by 2005. Currently, the businesses are able to produce 900 million bottles per year, while the annual market in Russia is estimated at 17 billion glass containers, including 10 billion glass bottles.
