From June 4-5, the 2026 “Six-Zero Green Building Materials Day” open house event took place at the NorthGlass High-End Equipment Industrial Park. Organised by the “China Building Materials” magazine, the event brought together over 20 journalists from central and local media outlets, along with experts and scholars from the China Building Materials Federation, China Building Material Test & Certification Group (CTC), China Construction Metal Structure Association, and Luoyang Glass Industry Association.
During the event, journalists and industry representatives toured the NorthGlass High-End Equipment Industrial Park, NorthGlass Triturbo Fan BU and the Luoyang base of its Glass Deep Processing BU.

At the Luoyang base of the Glass Deep Processing BU, journalists observed the automated production line system, which covers the entire chain of processes including intelligent glass warehousing, cutting, edging, and sheet sorting. This system is a key component of NorthGlass’s holistic “Glass Deep Processing Smart Factory” solution.
During the technical sharing session, heads of various business units at NorthGlass systematically explained how their core products align with the national “dual carbon” strategy. Technologies in the glass deep processing equipment sector, such as tempering furnaces, Low-E coating lines, automated production lines and tritrubo fans, continue to innovate and develop, achieving significant results in energy efficiency improvement and energy-saving retrofits.
Regarding glass deep processing products, NorthGlass’s high-end curtain wall glass, featuring extra-large sizes, ultra-curved surfaces, and high-performance coating technology, achieves architectural aesthetics while greatly reducing building energy consumption. Products like cast glass and light-stone are produced using purely electric drives developed by NorthGlass’s High-Temperature Electric Kiln BU, achieving low energy consumption and zero carbon emissions – a typical practice in green building materials.

One journalist after the visit said, “NorthGlass’s continuous R&D investment and focus on the high-end market demonstrate that green is not a cost, but a competitive advantage.” Another journalist focused on the number of countries to which NorthGlass exports its tempering furnaces: over 110 countries and regions, covering nearly all major developed nations, with coverage of nearly 80% of countries along the Belt and Road. This figure reflects the capability of Chinese equipment to serve the global market.
“Six-Zero” is not only a vision but also a call to action. For over 30 years, NorthGlass has evolved from producing China’s first horizontal roller hearth flat-bending tempering furnace to today supplying high-end equipment and glass products globally, driving the development of China’s glass deep processing industry.
Striving toward carbon neutrality, NorthGlass takes these 30 years as a new starting point, embarking on a new journey together with media friends and industry partners.
