Leading industrial gas supplier Praxair (China) Investment Co. Ltd., the Chinese unit of Praxair Inc., has signed a contract to supply industrial gases to Beijing Jin Jing Solar Materials Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Jin Jing Group, one of the leading companies in the Chinese and the Asian glass industry. As per the agreement, Praxair China will build an air separation plant, two vacuum-pressure-swing-adsorption and one steam-methane-reforming plant to supply oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen gases for Jin Jing“s low-E oxy-fuel float glass production lines. The Praxair unit is expected to commence operations in the first quarter of 2012.
