PPG Industries has announced that Victoria M. Holt, senior vice president, glass and fiberglass, has resigned from the company, effective immediately. She joined PPG in 2003 as vice president, fiberglass, and was promoted to senior vice president, glass and fiberglass, in May 2005. In her most recent position, Holt was responsible for the company“s fiberglass and performance glazings businesses. A contemporaneous press release informed that Spartech Corporation has appointed Ms. Holt president and chief executive as of 8 September. Ralph B. Andy, Spartech“s Chairman, said: “Vicki Holt“s appointment is an important step. We believe her experience in executing strategic change in customer focused manufacturing businesses and her proven commitment to operational excellence will generate the greatest benefits for our customers, employees and shareholders.” Holt, 52, has been a member of the Spartech Board of Directors since April 2005. As senior vice president of PPG“s Glass and Fiber Glass, she was in charge of USD 2 billion of global sales of glass and fiberglass products. She worked for Solutia as vice president Performance Films and numerous positions at Monsanto Company culminating as vice president Acrilan. Spartech Corporation is a leading producer of plastic products including polymeric compounds, concentrates, custom extruded sheet and rollstock products and packaging technologies, which operate facilities in the US, Mexico, Canada, and France.
